Exciting news for DIAMONDS last week - The Urdu version of the DIAMONDS Workbook and Case Report Forms have arrived.
We have been working hard over the past few months to translate our DIAMONDS workbook and Case Report Forms (the booklets that include the questionnaires we ask participants) into Urdu. This will allow us to recruit people who speak Urdu but do not speak, or do not feel confident speaking, English.
We want to thank all the people who have made this possible, including our DIAMONDS Coaches who speak both Urdu and English, our participating trusts who have the capacity to recruit people who speak Urdu, the Ethnic Minority Research Inclusion Network, everyone who has contributed to the translation and proof-reading, and all our colleagues who have supported this initiative. It's been a team effort!
We are looking forward to recruiting Urdu speaking participants to the DIAMONDS randomised controlled trial! This is a great achievement and a small step towards improving access to health research.
